DescriptionRug attributable to the Bahluli or Bahluri, a subtribe of the Baluchis inhabiting northern Iran. Camel ground main field comprised of “kotchanak” or ram’s horn motifs. The main border design features a “bird head” pattern typical of Shahsavan or Yomud Turkmen weaving traditions. “Running dog” or Vitruvian scroll pattern minor borders. Striped bands of kilim on top and bottom ends.
