DescriptionRug possibly attributable to Turkmen tribe (possibly Taimuri) executed in Afghanistan. Main field pattern comprised of lattice with Kochak cross elements. The use of red suggests an Afghan origination. Chaudor Turkmen diamond main border that possibly derives from applique work. Minor borders feature a barber pole design in blue and red. Striped flat woven kilim on top and bottom ends.
