DescriptionRug possibly attributable to either Qashqa’i or Khamseh weaving group. The main field design consists of three medallions surrounded by diagonal rows of floral motifs on camel wool ground. Lattice designs inside medallions. The blossoms found in the main carpet field as well as the reciprocal arrowheads of the outer border suggest a possible Afshar design influence. Unusual mix of both workshop and village weaving that makes it difficult to confirm attribution.
