DescriptionReligious painting of a “Baptism Celebration” called t’imkat. Six people are fully immersed in a baptismal pool at the center. The pool is surrounded by priests dressed in colorful robes and carrying umbrellas. Some also carry copies of the Ark of the Covenant. Villagers dressed in white appear to the right and left, including men with staffs and women carrying babies on their backs. Three horsemen appear below to the left and two to the right.
