DescriptionHand woven mud cloth sewn in horizontal 4 1/2” strips. Design has a procession of animals, outlined in black over a field of ochre, going from right to left. These are: a bird with a butterfly fluttering near its head, an animal that is a combination of elephant-man-zebra with a crocodile head on top (this head has two open mouths facing away from each other and a large eye in the middle) and seems to be carrying two fruits, and finally an ostrich. On the ground there are three plants. It has a geometric border all around.
