DescriptionA balisht (grain or storage bag) sometimes used as a cushion. Often a pillow covering for a bride’s dowry woven by a Baluch bride and her mother. Balisht are usually woven in pairs. The main field design consists of central hooked diamonds on a camel ground surrounded by borders comprised of leaf motifs. The primary border consists of an “S” pattern angled towards the main carpet field.
