DescriptionAdire cloth in resist dye indigo. Two pieces sewn together. Design called “plantain” or “the lazy man cannot be proud”, consists of wide white lines with four wing-like leaves sprouting out of them at intervals. The light designs are scored with needle marks from resist dye process. Text on original commercially woven fabric visible in some light areas.
