DescriptionBrass brooch, circular with central circular opening. According to the artist (see diagram in file),the four long heart-shaped cutouts represent the four directions; the tree form is the “ever growing tree of peace;” and tiny openwork elements flanking the tops of the trees are hummingbirds. Fastener is on the front in typical Iroquois style.
