DescriptionWoman’s axsu (Quechua) or urku (Aymara) overskirt worn at the back or side. Handwoven in with a dark pampa (undecorated section) and two multicolored pallay sections. The lower pallay has wallata (andean goose), lion, rayed sun (Inti) or star (chaska) designs in rectangles (tukapu or tocapo) and a large rayed diamond at the end. The upper pallay has zigzag design (river) with small diamonds, and one horse figure at the end. Embroidered flowers surround the lower pallay.
