DescriptionWallq’epu pouch / bag for keeping sacred coca leaves. This pouch was woven by Antrilla (Andrea) Choquetilla in her youth. The center band includes designs of Andean skunks. The long twisted fringe indicates that the pouch was used in ceremonial dances. The principal colors of the pouch are brown and orange with dark red near the outer edges. It has pink edge tubing around the sides and top and an orange strap in a very fine braid.
