DescriptionKhañi hand woven warp-faced flat utility pouch/bag for a llamero (llama herder/trader) from the Southern Aymara area. Yarns used to sew sides and reinforce top are plied black and white ch’imi (mixed yarns) or ch’ixlli wool. Lower corners are reinforced with kumpa, a thick binding that is found on very old bags woven for harsh handling and years of use.
