DescriptionWallq’ipu coca pouch/bag decorated with a thick fringe on the lower edge and tassels for ceremonial use. Woven in a double thick warp pattern. Complicated, decorative edge tubing on sides and top. Many animal forms including owls, condors and other birds on one side; the other birds also appear on the reverse together with tiny horses (?). The animals are flanked by ancient geometric designs. Pouch has long braided neck strap. Tassels are called chakis, feet.
