DescriptionWawa waq’a wrap for infant babies. Design bands have repeated chevron patterns running in opposite directions. The design is called q’ili q’uwa and refers to the leaf of a medicinal Andean herb that is also used to protect against negative forces. The baby is thus wrapped in this protective design.
