DescriptionAwayo (awayu) warp-faced woman’s utility cloth hand woven in coarse wool yarn in multi-colored stripes. Two individually woven panels are sewn together. Two of the stripes have designs representing little running birds, while four other stripes have geometric patterns. The dominant color is dark blue mixed with red, which gives the large stripes a purple appearance.
