DescriptionLocal silk scarf, created in Elbasan, Albania. Most of the scarf is in natural colored silk with decorative supplementary weft stripes near the two ends. These consist of bands of varying widths in white silk interspersed with red bands with multicolored threads. They are arranged in a group of four red bands and two additional red bands separated and flanked by openwork silk threads near the ends. Three strands of multicolored twisted yarn are integrated among the bands. Silk fringe at the very ends.
