DescriptionLidded basket with natural-colored black ash splint warps, and narrower wefts, including purple-dyed splints that are woven over two, under two to create strong diagonals, especially on the lid where the effect is of a spiral pattern. Braided sweetgrass is woven into the upper and lower sides of the basket and around the rim. Unbraided sweetgrass is at the top center of the lid. The handle is curled dyed and natural splints.
