DescriptionRetablo titled El Sueño (The Dream). An Andean woman falls asleep at the mouth of a cave with her two children at her side. She dreams of her husband who has disappeared. Was he imprisoned by the military? Was he killed by guerrillas, or by security forces? If so, she dreams, an angel is guiding his spirit to heaven. Although this is a Catholic heaven, there are also symbols of the Andean deity Wamani, and the Sun, Moon, and Condor. See remarks below.
