DescriptionWicker basket with handle “tourist type” (koláu). Made by women primarily for trade and occasionally used by themselves. “Tourist” isn’t very appropriate because the baskets of this type are sold en masse in town (Buenaventura) and made for this purpose. Square base and round opening with handle. Dark warps and light wefts except for one dark stripe near the base. Traces of red stripes visible only on the inside.
