View All Works
The Ukrainian-born Jewish photographer Yevgeny Khaldei is credited with many iconic images of World War II. The Soviet news agency TASS assigned him to cover the Red Army’s operations in central Europe, the Potsdam conference, and the Nuremberg trials. Khaldei donated almost 100 photographs to Colgate students and faculty members during his first visit to the United States in 1995.
